Burning Arrow vs. Incendiary Arrow
Which one is the most efficient? I want to make a build surrounding one of the two elite skills. On a side note, I've also heard Melandru's Shot is also a great PvP elite skill.

Well, both are efficient...but they have different purposes. Burning Arrow is good at single target damage. Incendiary Arrows is good at spreading conditions in conjunction with preparations.
Personally, I'd go with Incendiary Arrows. I ran around with Incendiary Arrows+Apply Poison+Sundering Weapon for a while when I got completely and utterly sick of seeing Barrage on my bar.

Incendiary Arrows isn't quite junk...at least not for pve. And I'm assuming that the OP is considering a pve build since he posted in the campfire.
I just think IA can be more useful in pve than BA can. If one were to consider the elites only, without any other skills coming into play, I would definitely take BA over IA. However, there are seven other spots on the skill bar to work with; and the rest of the team as well.

Generally, use BA for PvP and IA for PvE. But, IA can also be useful in AB.
And yea, Melandru's Shot is a great skill in PvP.

Degen is weak in PvE, so neither skill is useful for damage output. However, IA is useful as a multi-arrow skill that doesn't strip preps. Hint: IA+Ignite+EBSoH.

Well I'm planning on going the PvP route so I guess Burning Arrow is the best option from what has been said. Are there any must-have skills that should go a Burning Arrow Build?
Any suggestions for this build?

That bar'd do fine although I'd change a few things out of personal opinion.
Whirling Defense -> Natural Stride
Troll Unguent -> Mending Touch
Keen Arrow-> Pin Down
That's something like I'd use in typical RA/TA/GvG if I had to take BA over Melshot(Which I wouldn't :P).

Superior runes are a big no for PvP.
Attributes are fine, but bring a minor marksmanship rune.

I'd rather concentrate and maintain burning on a target rather than spamming it in short periods. I don't care if it's PvE or PvP - using Incendiary Arrows is like using Barrage. You won't be able to live with yourself because your build is OH SO LAME.

Burning Arrow > Incendiary Arrows

Yes because concentrate on burning ONE target that is going to die in 4.... 8 secs is really worth it. We dont care if you hate that skill ( of course is lame at PvP ) but its not like Barrage , keywords : adjacent , preparations. Also thinking that anyone who uses Incendiay is lame is also OH SO LAME.
Incendiary Arrows > Burning arrows @ pve .

Take this guy's advice.
Only thing I would add is Throw Dirt. ...and I'd probably keep Whirling, but I'm just old school and hate change.

PvE = Incendiary as you have more places to encounter grouped enemies
PvP = Burning as you have less chance of facing grouped enemies
Both supply burning, and both can be used with preps. But whether you will be able to hit multiple enemies is the bigger issue, and IA doesn't supple +damage while BA does. If the burning duration is important, BA is also better. Lastly, depending on the purpose of the build, you may not want to invent a lot of attributes into Wilderness Survival, which would make IA less appealing.

The problem with Incendiary Arrows is that you can't spam them. And the burning is really too low to be considered a real threat to your enemies (2 seconds unless you want to invest heavily in Wilderness Survival). Its only use is to serve as a platform for stuff like Splinter Weapon, Ignite Arrows, Conjure X and such. But when it comes to that, Barrage is just better because you can spam it. It may remove the preparations, but it's not like preparations are all that good.
Burning Arrow is good single-target damage, and is good in PvP, but doesn't really shine in PvE (unless maybe you're running with a Fevered Dreams hero).
So I'm gonna say both aren't very good. If you really want burning, I suggest going with Barrage, Conjure Flame and Mark of Rodgort.... or better yet, leave the burning to the professionals (meaning fire eles)

Well you cant spam BA either and like i said before , mantain burning on a PvE target that is going to die in 3.....7 sec is pretty useless. 12 WS is not heavy imho. We are talking here about spreading conditions, Barrage is not allowed soz.

Bad suggestion imho, Conjure has long recharge and can be removed , MoR is not suited for a Ranger at all but is good in a Fire ele bar that can be included in the group.
Anyway spreading burn is not the matter , is spreading conditions and with IA+Condt Prept+Asuran scan you can spread em on NEARBY range ( note this is VERY useful ), use a hex to trigger discord and have another 3-5 slots for another useful stuff just with 1 Att : W Survival .

Basically, you're wasting your elite slot so you can spread conditions to two nearby foes and you use Asuran Scan (which won't actually do anything because your damage sucks) as a hex to trigger Discord?
If it's about condition spreading, try [Fevered Dreams][Fragility][Poison Tip Signet][Hunter's Shot]["Finish Him!"]
This will spread conditions to ALL foes in IN THE AREA range. Fragility will do additional damage and act as a cover hex. You can add a preparation or add Volley for more AoE damage. It doesn't matter how fast the target dies. Everything in the area will suffer from Poison, Bleeding, Cracked Armor and Deepwound within seconds.

Because using Barrage is not wasting an elite slot when playing Discordway , right ( Fevered dreams is a waste too ). Damage sux ? lol dude , why is that ? i didnt say to run 0 Marksmanship and please read , i left 3...5 slots for ANYTHING you want ( except an elite ofc ).

My mistake , that discussion is on another thread . This one is about 2 Elite skills already mentioned and what you are suggesting uses none of them.
Point is : Damage and burning to 1 target or Little less damage and burning to 3 target less time ?. For pve second option is the best . Done thanks for the reply btw.
